RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop and execute a comprehensive personal sales plan to deliver predetermined goals for new convention bookings, with corresponding room night targets.
• Achievement of specific annual booking goals as determined by the company.
• Actively expand the base of qualified customer prospects through new business development and account qualification.
• Prepare quality and “out of the box” proposals and power point presentations for group business.
• Conduct site inspections. Entertain qualified potential clients in accordance with Wave Crest Policies.
• Actively expand the base of qualified customer prospects through new business development and account qualification using Wave Crest tool box of rate structure and maximized profitability
• Maximize selling and upselling opportunities and efficiency through timely and accurate data management with Delphi including accurate data input including but not limited to maintenance of account and contact information, recording meeting specifications, using historical data and distributing sales leads as needed for groups larger than EMM or specific to each other sales leaders core competency.
• Prepare and send requested proposals and contracts to designated potential clients
• On a regular basis, distribute final Rooming Lists and Banquet Event Orders to all applicable service staff, including the Banquet Service Staff, the Food Preparation Staff and the Rooms Division.
• Continuously educate Event Planners on hotel procedures, such as: meal guarantees, set-up styles, payment terms, available hotel services, etc.
• Participate in key sales initiatives that include travel to clients, participation in industry trade shows, preparation of sales missions and client events.
• Participate as a representative of Carlsbad and Wave Crest at various off-site events where travel is necessary

• Initiate correspondence with introduction letter, agenda, and any other pertinent information.
• Coordinate and service all logistics of assigned groups from initial booking through meeting requirements and departure.
• Monitor room blocks with contracted agencies.
• Ensure that room blocks are reserved for groups.
• Conduct pre-convention meeting with meeting planner and all hotel operating departments representatives which are involved in the program.
• Disseminate group resumes which include profiles, agendas and requirements to all Hotel operating departments in a timely and efficient manner.
• Coordinate and conduct resume meetings.
• Maintain close contact with client on regular basis both verbally and with written confirmation of changes and updates.
• Provide personalized "on the floor" attention to all in-house programs.
• Assist with billing discrepancies with the intent of resolving to the satisfaction of all parties.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Prefer bachelor’s degree in marketing, hospitality management or business administration
2. Minimum 3-5 years sales experience in the hospitality industry
3. Persuasive and concise verbal and written communicator
4. Ability to provide outstanding customer service
5. Ideal candidate is detail oriented, highly organized and tech savvy
6. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and familiarity with database management software

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

HOUSEKEEPING QA

SUMMARY:
The Quality Assurance Inspector is responsible for the on-going inspection of guest rooms to ensure the quality standards are consistently being met by all room attendants. The QA Inspector will create daily reports with detailed notes and scoring to be used by the Executive Housekeeper and Housekeeping Supervisor to coach and reward room attendants. Ensure quality service above all in our guest rooms.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Complete 15-20 room inspections daily with detail reporting handed in at the end of the shift
Rectify outstanding quality issues immediately with room attendants.
Understand the housekeeping process of cleaning a guest room Inspect VIPs before 12 noon according to our Housekeeping standard operating procedure
Inspect areas of public space as assigned, create a punch list and distribute to appropriate departments
Check and report out any engineering issues found in rooms
Maintain open communication with management staff to ensure quality service is being provided and report all challenges they may incur
Other duties as assigned by the Executive Housekeeper

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABLITIES:
Education: 
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
Experience: Must have at least 2 years of housekeeping experience

Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to train and supervise with strong leadership skills

GUEST SERVICE ASSOCIATE - FRONT DESK


SUMMARY: Check-in and check-out guests and respond to inquiries and problems in an efficient, courteous and professional manner to achieve maximum customer satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Handle guest registration and room assignments, accommodating special requests whenever possible.
2. Pre-register, block reservations and take same day reservations and when necessary future reservations following hotel rate structures, discounts, and sell strategies.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Requires a working knowledge of the Front Desk and a general knowledge of hotel operations. Requires knowledge of and ability to operate computer equipment and the reservations system. On Q experience highly preferred. Verbal and written English communication required. MAINTENANCE ENGINEER I

SUMMARY:  
Maintain the property equipment, electronics, rooms preventive maintenance program and Light Stay program, consistently keep updated records on file.  Respond to all internal and external guest's requests in a timely and efficient manner. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
1. Responsible for the continuous maintenance of property equipment
2. Responsible for guest rooms preventive maintenance and Light Stay Program. 
3. Respond or perform duties of a groundskeeper and maintenance as required. 
4. Respond and satisfy internal and external guest requests in a courteous, efficient, safe manner. 
5. Maintain proper records of the Rooms Preventive Maintenance Program. 
6. Complete work order request forms on a daily and timely basis. 
7. Maintain all mechanical areas and tools in an orderly and clean condition.

EDUCATION:

SUMMARY:   

Assist with planning and managing of the Restaurant, Fire Lounge, In Room Dining and other food and beverage outlets as appropriate in order to achieve customer satisfaction, quality service, compliance with corporate/franchise policies and procedures and federal, state and local regulations while meeting/exceeding financial goals. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Assists with managing the team members in the various outlets in order to attract, retain and motivate the employees; schedule, train, develop, empower, coach and counsel, resolve problems, provide open communications and recommend discipline and termination, as appropriate.

2. Assists with implementation of company programs and manage the operations of the Restaurant, Fire Lounge and In Room Dining and any other food and beverage outlet as required to ensure compliance with SOPs, safety regulations and federal, state and local regulations to ensure am optimal level of service, quality and hospitality are provided to the guest(s).

3. 1. Walk all assigned floors at beginning and end of shift; remove newspapers and service trays, empty ash urn receptacles, remove trash and/or linens and note any areas that need immediate cleaning.

REPORTS TO:  Restaurant Manager/ Assistant Restaurant Manager


GENERAL DESCRIPTION:


Under general supervision, responsible for the prompt and efficient running of food plates and restocking of Buffet food items. Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced restaurant environment.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


1) Completes all opening and closing procedures for this position and assists Wait Staff.
2) Attentive and sensitive to guests’ needs. Must provide excellent guest service.
3) Has a complete knowledge and recognition of all menu items and ability to describe menu items.
4) Requires a professional and mature manner.
5) Efficiently delivers food to dining tables according to orders.
6) Efficiently Sets Breakfast Buffet and restock food items as needed        
7) Utilizes correct table numbers and has complete working knowledge of the table pivot point system.
8) Pre-buses tables.
9) Ensures all side work is complete.  Ensures all side areas, service areas and counters are kept in a neat, clean and orderly.
11) Ensures station, as well as entire restaurant, is always clean.
12) Maintains friendly, understanding attitude with all Employees.  Must be a positive team player.
13) Completes quality control for all food items.
14) May perform other duties as necessary.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

1-2 years previous restaurant serving experience required
Previous Micros experience preferred
Ability to work  various shifts, weekends, holidays
Ability to provide outstanding guest service
Must be a positive, collaborative team player
Must hold San Diego County Food Handler's card
Must have an alcohol awareness card such as TIPS.

GUEST SERVICE ASSOCIATE - FRONT DESK (Summer Seasonal)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


1. Handle guest registration and room assignments, accommodating special requests whenever possible.
2. Pre-register, block reservations and take same day reservations and when necessary future reservations following hotel rate structures, discounts, and sell strategies.
3. Handle guest check-ins/check-outs in accordance with hotel credit/cash handling policies in a efficient and friendly manner
4. Resolve customer complaints; assist customers in all inquiries in connection with hotel services, in-house events, directions, local attractions, check cashing, safety boxes, etc.
5. Cancel room reservations according to procedures.

Education:

Previous On Q certification preferred.

Skills and Abilities: Requires a working knowledge of the Front Desk and a general knowledge of hotel operations. Requires knowledge of and ability to operate computer equipment and the reservations system. On Q experience highly preferred.

• Apply paint, vinyl and wallpaper
• Maintain painted exterior and interior painted surfaces, trimming and fixtures
• Prepare surfaces and apply paints, stains, and clear finishes if needed

The Concierge plays a vital role in the daily customer service operations of the hotels.   The concierge becomes the point of contact for hotel guests who seek information or assistance during their stay.
 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


Responsible for greeting and welcoming guests.
Ensure that the needs/requests of guests are met, and each guest has a memorable stay.
Provide information about the property and an expert on the local area.

Assistant Restaurant Manager - CHANDLER’S

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Assists with managing the team members in the various outlets in order to attract, retain and motivate the employees; hire, schedule, train, develop, empower, coach and counsel, conduct performance and salary reviews, resolve problems, provide open communications and recommend discipline and termination, as appropriate.

2. PAYROLL/HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER

POSITION PURPOSE:

Assists the Director of Human Resources in the daily administration of all human resources functions including administration, recruiting, and recognition programs.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Processing of employment applicants to include scheduling interviews, reference checks, background checking, drug testing administering and conducting new hire paperwork meetings with newly hired associates, I-9 and E-Verify, assist with orientations and compile and benefit packets.

Manage and maintain the Hotel’s confidential employment and insurance files. Manage HRIS, UI, SDI and compliance reporting processes.  Input HRIS transactions such as hires, terminations, transfers, promotions, and change of status.

Manage and administer the employee recognition program and events and activities. Process associate name badge requests.  Coordinate community involvement activities, company communications, and update/manage communication bulletin boards. 

Answer incoming phone lines, update confidential reports, and other projects as assigned by the Director of Human Resources.

Regular attendance in conformance with the standards is essential to the successful performance in this position.  Associates may be required to work varying schedules due to the business needs of the hotel.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Minimum of 1-2 years’  HR experience.

• Have a general working knowledge of Federal  and State regulations relating to OSHA and workers compensation.

Houseperson is responsible to clean and maintain all corridors and public areas, supply and remove linensand trash in accordance with all housekeeping procedures, and standards and safety and security rules and regulations to ensure guest satisfaction.
 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


1.   Remove soiled linen, terry and trash from the rooms and service areas and take to the appropriate locations in the prescribed manner. 

2.   Walk all assigned floors at beginning and end of shift; remove newspapers and service trays, empty ash urn receptacles, remove trash and/or linens and note any areas that need immediate cleaning. 

3.   Clean all public areas in the prescribed manner while following safety and security procedures and regulations to include but not limited to: hallways, elevators, service areas, stairwells, etc... 

4.   Aid section housekeepers as needed (i.e. bed boards, roll-ways, etc

5.   Report any missing/found articles, damage or merchandise problems to the Senior Housekeeper. 

6.   Receive assigned section, keys, supplies and any priority requests from the Senior Housekeeper. 

7.   Respond to guest requests and questions and report guest issues and complaints in a hospitable manner to ensure guest satisfaction. 

8.   Special projects and supportive duties as assigned.

ROOM ATTENDANT (HOUSEKEEPING)

SUMMARY: Clean and supply all daily assigned rooms and report all damage, mechanical deficiencies, suspicious activities or theft in accordance with all housekeeping procedures and standards and safety and security rules and regulations to ensure guest satisfaction.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Clean guest rooms and stock with appropriate supplies in the prescribed manner while following safety and security procedures and regulations.  Sixteen (16) rooms per day; fifteen (15) during summer season.  To include but not limited to:
- Picking up trash
- Changing linen and making the bed
- Cleaning entire bathroom
- Sweeping and dusting guest room
- Cleaning the windows and balcony 
2. Retrieve, stock, restock and store the housekeeping cart according to prescribed housekeeping, safety
and security procedures and regulations. 
3. Receive assigned section, keys, supplies and any priority room requests from the Senior Housekeeper.
Turn in keys and unused supplies at end of shift. 
4. Respond to guest requests and report guest issues and complaints in a hospitable manner to ensure
guest satisfaction. 
5. Report any missing articles, damage or mechanical problems to the Senior Housekeeper and turn in
articles left in room. 
6. Special projects and support as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Education:  
No formal education required; GED is preferred
Experience:   Prior housekeeping experience in a hotel environment is preferred

SUMMARY
Set up, tend and breakdown banquet bars according to standard policies and procedures in a safe, accident-free manner.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Check BEOs to determine function, number of guests and type of bar (house, premium, cash, open, etc.).
Set up portable bar in function area according to standard policies and procedures.
Make and serve drinks to guests in a cordial, professional manner following established guidelines, policies and procedures regarding beverages and safety controls as prescribed by the state and the hotel. Track and log alcohol served.
Remove all liquor glasses from tables, tablecloths, trash and liquor from function area.
Remove all trash and liquor from area and return bar to storeroom.
Breakdown, clean bar thoroughly; wipe surface areas and empty water in portable bar. Return all equipment and supplies to proper area.

SUMMARY
Set-up, service and break down assigned functions in a safe manner.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Read BEO and know how to complete a set-up.
Set tables in assigned area correctly and uniformly.
Keep station neat and clean while servicing guest per established policies and procedures.
Use proper in-room clearing and aisle tray break-down buffet or other special food service tables and equipment.
Assist Lead Banquet Server in setting up/breaking down buffet or other special food service tables and equipment.
Greet and serve guests following guidelines set by the policies/procedures regarding the service of food and beverage.
